Are you accepting new patients?
We are accepting new patients at this time. This response will be updated if we become full and have to temporarily pause new patients.
How soon can I be seen?
At this time, we can generally accommodate a new patient appointment within a week. If you want a specific provider, there may be a slight wait. We can typically accommodate for urgent appointments. Consider filling out intake forms to get started. Please see our resources or dial 911 if it is an emergency.
Why do I not have refills?
Our providers make every attempt to issue medication to cover you until your next appointment. If you are prescribed a stimulant for ADHD; we cannot issue refills. Each prescription is written as a new prescription. This may cause online or automated information to state you do not have a refill. Our providers will write multiple prescriptions to have medication until your next appointment. Please check with your pharmacy first.
Why is cash pay less than insurance?
Cash/self pay pricing may be less expensive than your cost with insurance. This typically happens when you have a deductible that hasn’t been met. Serene Psychiatry will not adjust pricing down to cash pay/self pay rates after a claim has been processed. Please let us know prior to your appointment how you’d like to process the payment.
Can I do telehealth only?
It is our opinion that the best patient care is given when appointments are in-person. We may occasionally offer telehealth services as a courtesy to patients. This courtesy is dependent on the specific patient and what is medically appropriate.
Are payment plans available?
Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans. We have partnered with CareCredit that allows you to still get care. CareCredit routinely offers interest deferred periods that allow you to finance your appointments.
